MWD Advisors is a specialist European IT advisory firm which focuses exclusively on issues surrounding IT-business alignment.
The company was formed in 2005 by two highly regarded and influential industry analysts with nearly 40 years combined experience working for a variety of IT vendors, including Autonomy, Deloitte Consulting, ICI, Oracle, Sun and Sybase. Prior to founding MWD they both held senior positions at the advisory firm Ovum.
Since forming the company, MWD has grown to comprise a number of experienced research and advisory professionals. MWD’s analysts bring over 40 years' experience working with senior IT decision makers worldwide from a range of industries including retail, financial services, oil and gas, travel and leisure, utilities, manufacturing, public sector, healthcare and telecoms. Over 2000 subscribers currently benefit from MWD's research.

the team
Neil is MWD's co-founder and Research Director, and is one of Europe's most experienced and high-profile IT industry analysts. His areas of expertise include business process management (BPM), enterprise architecture (EA) and service oriented architecture (SOA) and IT governance, and he is currently the lead analyst for MWD's BPM Continuous Advisory Service. Neil has acted an advisor to leading vendors, including IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, BEA, Hewlett-Packard, SAP, and Borland; and to large IT user organisations in Media, Government, Transport, Financial Services, and Telecommunications.
Beth is responsible for research and service quality and delivery as well as managing MWD's communication with clients, research subscribers, the media, partners and other communities of interest. Previously Beth was part of the European management team at AMR Research. This followed a decade’s experience as an accomplished industry analyst in her own right at AMR Research and Ovum. Most recently Beth successfully ran her own independent research and marketing communications consultancy for technology vendors.
Angela is a highly accomplished and experienced IT industry analyst and public speaker. With experience in many areas around collaboration and information management, she has advised clients on technology and management issues relating to collaboration, enterprise content management, portals, workflow, enterprise search and e-learning. Angela regularly presents at conferences and seminars on information management technology and markets, as well as writing for journals and trade publications on various topics.
Helena
leads MWD's information management and business intelligence (BI) research programme, covering issues relating to OLAP, Query and reporting; advanced analytics; Enterprise Performance Management; data warehousing; ETL, DQ and MDM; and BI deployment models, including open source, appliances and Cloud BI. Helena combines six years of expertise as a former data warehousing practitioner with ten years as an industry analyst. She has a wealth of experience providing authoritative research and advice to enterprises and technology vendors. Helena presents regularly at conferences and seminars, and has contributed to media titles such as CIO.com, Computer Weekly and Business Week.
