Rather, we are saying that many wouldn&#039;t characterise it as SaaS because there isn&#039;t a customer installable, perpetually licensed, customer managed equivalent. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The point about eBay is interesting as I think it depends on (as I said in the post) your context. I could argue, for example, that a merchant utilising the eBay platform might see it as a SaaS platform, whereas a consumer selling or purchasing through an auction probably wouldn&#039;t (a similar argument can be applied to Amazon)</description>
