Zoho Chat supports Jabber

Good to see some extended interoperability support from Zoho with its server-side support for the Jabber protocol. Zoho is one of those unusual companies that will become a major market presence by stealth – gradually strengthening its portfolio based on customer feedback and demand until one day the market leaders will look over their shoulder and wonder where it came from! Constant innovation and progress from this company, it's a fascinating one to watch.

Central Desktop for Office launched; bringing online collaboration more tightly into business activities

Great to see this new add-on tool from Central Desktop released – it provides seamless integration between Central Desktop's online collaboration environment and Office tools, allowing opening and saving from within Office, as well as enabling co-editing capabilities even in pre-2010 versions. I think this tool will make a significant difference for Central Desktop in terms of its market opportunity by enabling it to become more embedded in users' activities, and is definitely worth a look for any current and prospective Central Desktop customers.
