Socialtext gets the knives out in the battle for enterprise microblogging, just as Yammer starts to broaden its platform into more of a Facebook-for-the-enterprise than a Twitter-for-the-enterprise. From a purely marketing perspective though, I question how long Socialtext can continue playing the "first company in the enterprise social software market" card – surely it's about who does it best, not who was there first…
