Fascinating insights on process mapping and modeling

Just yesterday we launched a new online survey that we’re using to gauge current industry maturity in process mapping and modeling, to complement some comparative research that Mark is doing on the mapping and modeling tool vendors’ offerings – and also to help us see how things have moved on since a similar survey that Mark ran in 2009. In just the first few hours we got well over 100 responses, and the number is still rising – this is clearly a topic that interests a lot of people in the process improvement and BPM communities!

So far we can already see there are going to be some fascinating stories to tell around the relative popularity of different tools and approaches, together with people’s experiences and impressions of ROI on tool spending and levels of interest in new trends like cloud-based tools, social collaboration around mapping/modeling and mobile publication/sharing.

We’d love to get even more responses so we can make this survey as authoritative and in-depth as it can be – and so we’d love you to take a few minutes to provide your input!

Even if you’re working on process improvement but not using a tool, we would appreciate your views; one of the things we are looking for greater insight on is why people might not be using tools.
