Pervasive BPM: The Role of the BPM Competency Center

23 February 2011 - online webinar - register here

Enterprises introduce BPM to improve their operational performance by managing their business through managing their processes. This requires a change in management approach throughout the organization so BPM becomes "business as usual". The BPM Competency Center is a key enabler in the pervasive adoption of BPM. It provides a "one-shop-stop" that supports multiple BPM initiatives with the necessary methods, practices and tools, while enabling the enterprise to progress overall BPM adoption.

In this webinar Neil Ward-Dutton of MWD Advisors opened by describing the importance and role of the BPM Competency Center. Lionel Loiseau of BNP Paribas then discussed the experiences of BNP Paribas in implementing a BPM Competency Center.

Seven ways BPM tackles telecoms operational challenges

16 February 2011 - online webinar - replay available here

Today's telecoms service providers face a perfect storm of major pressures on profitability: driven by higher demand for fixed and mobile bandwidth, combined with the impact of more stringent pricing regulation, the effects of service commoditization and threats from "over the top" voice services, and more. Against this backdrop, the ability to protect margins through the pursuit of new revenue sources and addressing loyalty and churn issues is vital.

But supporting the kinds of new initiatives that are so urgent is going to be very difficult unless ways of rapidly integrating services and management processes are found that eliminate, rather than exacerbate, complexity – and this is where BPM comes in.

Research Director Neil Ward-Dutton spoke with Dr. Michael Rowley, CTO of Active Endpoints on Wednesday, February 16 at a free webinar that explored telecom's operational challenges and the right tools to empower you to respond quickly and affordably.
