BPM in 2010
synopsis
2009 saw every developed economy in the world suffer considerable distress, and naturally IT spending itself came under very strong pressure. Nevertheless, spending on BPM initiatives grew strongly (many specialist BPM technology providers showed revenue increases of 20% or greater). BPM is one area of business and IT activity that can demonstrate clear value in tough times as well as good times – it has value not only for organisations that are struggling, but also for those in the fortunate position of being able to invest and build competitive differentiation. This report examines the reasons behind this, and looks at what we can expect from this market over the next 12 months.
