synopsis

Identity management is a hot topic. A broad range of drivers, coupled with fervent acivity in the vendor community, are bringing identity management strategy, architecture and technology choices to the fore. This report sets out to address the key challenges faced by organisations as they embark on identity management initiatives. It provides a simple model to help organisations understand business drivers and map them onto required identity management capabilities. It then uses the model to define a new architectural foundation and explains how organisations should build on it to maximise the business value of their identity management initiatives.
