VMware and Salesforce.com have joined together to deliver a Cloud computing service called vmforce. The platform opens up all elements of the previously proprietary Apex-based Salesforce.com platform to roughly six million Java developers worldwide. Furthermore, through SpringSource and its Spring community, VMware presents an existing community of two million developers straight to Salesforce.com's doorstep.
